BKMM Transport is an independent family-run transport, distribution and plant & equipment hire operator based in Smethwick in the West Midlands, running our own fleet of lorries and late-model hire plant across the whole of the UK.

BKMM Transport is a family-run transport, distribution and plant & equipment hire business based in Smethwick, two minutes from M5 junction 1. We have traded since 2001, running our own fleet and our own hire plant, and we answer the phone ourselves.
Our promise is simple: we plan the load before we quote the job, so the price you agree is the price on the invoice.
Our customers get honest answers — including the occasional “no” when a job genuinely needs a different vehicle, more planning or a longer window. The result is a business that has grown slowly and deliberately to 38 vehicles and 1,850 pallets a week, with 99.4% arriving inside the agreed window.

2001
One lorry and a telephone
Started with a single 7.5 tonne curtainsider moving building materials around the Black Country for local merchants.

First articulated unit
Demand for full loads took us onto 44 tonne articulated haulage and a second yard bay at Middlemore Industrial Estate.

Pallet network membership
One booking could now reach every UK postcode — the biggest single leap in what we could offer customers.

Plant and abnormal load division
Low loaders, step frames and Hiab crane lorries added for construction and heavy machinery clients.

Warehousing and container handling
A 42,000 sq ft site extension with racked storage, cross-dock bays and container destuffing.

Equipment hire desk launches
Late-model excavators, telehandlers, dumpers and rollers available self-drive or operated, delivered on our own low-loaders.
